Weekly Open Mic Events
@ The Venue

Thursday's R Open Mic Nites
Monday Night &
Thursday Night
Open Mic
@ The Venue

Each Monday and Thursday night, folks at the The Venue set the stage, turn on the sound system and stage lights. Then, they open the doors to the area’s performing artists ~ inviting them to take the stage and share their artistic expressions with others. We also invite the public to come watch, listen, and applaud the performers. The setting is intimate and supportive; intended for people serious about art - “It isn’t about food and drink; it’s about what’s happenin’ on the stage” – It’s about new artists having a safe place to perform for the first time – It’s about veteran artists having a place to experiment and try out new pieces – It’s about having a place that inspires new work – It’s about a lot of things – Come check it out any Monday or Thursday night – you’ll see.  With Jorge Mendez directing and / or hosting, all our open mic events are special!

A Monthly Open Mic Event

"Feature Sundays Open Mic"

Last Sundays in the Month
Most of these events will feature a genre and will have
featured artists who have mastered a high performance
level in that genre. But we won't be held to that formula -
we may have featured themes, call for mash ups
or who knows what else. We plan to be creative
and hope you will too.

The stage will also be open to other artists attending
who comply with the events' requirements

OUR NEXT FEATURE SUNDAY

THEME: THE POETRY EDITION
Join us for a special evening of poety featuring some
of the best poets and spoken word artists in
Hampton Roads
the stage will also be open for other performers

Doors Open at 6:45
$5 Donation at the Door

QUARTERLY OPEN MIC EVENTS

it was given its own slot - it is now a Quarterly event
Look for future dates here or on facebook
The Venue on 35th page - then get a partner, mashup your art and bring it to our stage!
