The Mercy SeatThe Mercy Seat
This shocking and funny two character play by Neil LaBute was the first major theatrical response to the September 11 terrorist attacks. Opening in NYC on December 18, 2002, New Yorkers found it hard to watch LaBute’s self-absorbed characters and their un-heroic and totally selfish response to the tragedy. The play begins the day after the attack; a day that grew heavy with anxiety as thousands of New Yorkers began “mourning the dead” and searching for the “Missing”.  Come see what Ben and Abby were doing at the same time.
Produced by the Foppish Dandies & Co., directed by Philip Odango with Garney Johnson and Candy Dennis taking on the roles - which “are hard to shake”.  Don’t miss this powerful drama – one weekend only.

Dates:  July 9, 10, 11, 2010  Fri & Sat at 8 PM  - Sun at 4 PM
(note Sat’s performance won’t begin until 8:30 PM – a preshow event is planned)
Tickets:  $10.00
