 Playwrights Forum at The Venue
Dedicated to assisting local playwrights in taking
their work, from the “page to the stage”
Founded in 2000, the Forum has progressed from meeting in “borrowed space” in libraries, student centers, and backrooms of theaters, to its brand new and spiffy home, here at The Venue on 35th.
Forum Activities
- Cold Readings and Critiques of Member’s New Plays
- Assistance in Revisions
- Staged Readings of Member’s Plays (ready for a public showing)
- Productions of Member’s Plays with our Production Partner, Generic Theater (we are currently seeking other Production Partners locally, regionally and in other states)
- Workshops and Educational Opportunities for Playwrights and Directors
Membership: open to area Playwrights
(our supporting members include actors, directors and educators)
